Meditation on Rama

Chant RA-A MA-A without abbreviation and without secrecy. Communicate and share. Chanting in a group will bring you to the same frequency of communication with each other and will expand your intuition to understand one another.

Posture: Sit in a perfect yogic pose with a straight spine.

Eyes: Focus at the Brow Point.

Mantra: Ra-a Ma-a. Inhale and chant beautifully and rhythmically. Pace is one repetition every four seconds. Chant in the same melody as Kirtan Kriya (Sa Ta Na Ma).

Ra: The sun energy, positive, generating force

A: Come, exist

Ma: The moon energy, negative, receptive force

Breath: Breathe as necessary

Time: Continue for 5 - 11 minutes.

Man has two instincts: to be social and communicate, and to round-off and condense. These seem to be at odds. In reality, there is nothing which is secret or should be secret. There are no secret or personal mantras. These are man's creations, not nature's. The sound of RA-A MA-A that calls and merges the sun and moon energies got condensed to RAMA and even to RMA.

Anyone not on the same frequency cannot understand another person without losing or misinterpreting part of the communication. A secret makes it personal. We become personal and secret because we are afraid to be misunderstood.

Yogi Bhajan described this need for common frequency in communication this way,

"When there are two individual identities in communication, mind thinks, mind observes, mind watches, mind intuits, mind computes; and then the mouth says. Whatever one mouth says, the other’s ear hears.

Whatever the mouth says, then the ear hears; and whatever that ear hears, then that mouth has to answer something to keep the level of communication already at a certain frequency that has been established. Anyone not at that established frequency will misunderstand totally. Understanding is only in relationship to the frequency of the level of communication and receiving."
